Choose cherries without any spots and not too ripe. Trim the stalks leaving 3/4 inches from the cherry, wipe with a cloth; as you do that, fill the jar with the cherries, cover with the brandy. Close hermetically. 3 weeks to 1 month later, add the granulated sugar, seal again. 3 days later, shake the jar without opening it to dissolve the sugar. Repeat twice, at intervals of a few days. 2 months later, the cherries are ready to be tasted and eaten. Keep in a dark place.
